Greetings Sisters
Consider what welcome home means to you as you reflect on the memories you've made. As sisters of Alpha Phi, we will visit this idea together as we reunite this fall and walk into the future together. As autumn appears on the horizon, we begin and/or recall that familiar rhythm of making preparation for students and the formation of our professional families and the feeling we share or have shared in these homecomings. I definitely recall the warmth of fellowship and being welcomed home when I met Bonnie Golden and Teresa Cowan at the New Teacher Orientation sponsored by Buncombe County Public Schools. These dynamic women educators offered a sense of belonging even in those first few moments of meeting, a reflection of each of you. I continue to be impressed with the sense of home that Alpha Phi creates and recreates. It is my greatest goal to perpetuate that feeling in each of you as we journey forward together.
